If you have an idea for a video, series, or essay, you can pitch it here.

I read every submission. I can’t reply to everyone, but I do use these ideas to steer what I cover next.

Pitching is not paywalled. Pitching is always welcome.
You don’t need to donate to submit an idea, and you will never be treated differently based on whether you contribute.

If I decide to take on a topic, I’ll include an optional way for anyone who wants to help fund the research and production time to do so. Support is never required, and it never determines what gets covered.

How this works

Step 1 — You pitch.
Send your idea using the form on this page. Links and source suggestions are welcome, but not required.

Step 2 — I review.
I may accept, revise, combine, or decline any topic.

Step 3 — I make it.
If I take your topic on, I’ll research and produce it in the format that fits best.

Optional support (never required).
If I choose to pursue your topic, I’ll email you to let you know. I’ll include a link so that you can contribute toward the time it takes to create the content, if you’re able and willing. If you can’t or don’t want to contribute, nothing changes. Your pitch is still valued and fully welcome here, and I will still make and publish the content I’ve made from your topic.

Step 4 — I publish it.
Depending on the topic and format, it may be posted on TikTok (portrait), YouTube (landscape), and sometimes Substack/Patreon as well.

A quick note about editorial control

If I cover your topic, the reporting, framing, perspective, and conclusions will be my own. Support does not buy influence over the outcome.

I also won’t accept pitches that promote harassment, doxxing, personal targeting, or misinformation.

Submitting a pitch (and any optional contribution later) does not create a client relationship, does not guarantee coverage, and does not guarantee a timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Pitching is not paywalled in any way, including if I decide to take on your pitch. Any contributions are optional and do not dictate whether or not a pitch is accepted.

  • No. Any contribution is optional support for the time it takes to do the work, but it does not guarantee coverage or a timeline.

  • I read every submission, but I can’t reply to all of them. If I decide to pursue your topic, I will reach out via email.

  • No. If I cover your topic, the perspective and conclusions will be my own. I’m not available for paid persuasion pieces.

  • Yes. Local stories often reveal the larger pattern. Include any links or context that help me understand what’s happening.

  • Yes. Since this is rare, and most people look for a follow-up from me, the email field is required. You could, however, type into that field that you wish to remain anonymous. If you want a shoutout, you can still provide a first name or username only.
